Gorgeous Free Peony Paintings to Download

Peonies are my favourite flower especially big pink ones.  That’s why I have currated this collection of stunning Peony paintings that are free to download and print.

I grew up in Hong Kong where I was often surrounded by beautiful paintings of Peonies.  The Peony flowers are one of the most popular in Chinese paintings and illustrations and are used to adorn many of their fabrics and homewares.

The peony is a traditional floral symbol of China. It is also known as (fùguìhuā) “flower of riches and honour” or (huawang) “king of the flowers”, and is used symbolically in Chinese art.  “In 1903, the Qing dynasty declared the peony as the national flower.”
