Copyright Free Images

The vintage images on the site are from either my own extensive collection or have been sourced from libraries. They are in the public domain . Which means that the copyright has expired and thus they are free to use as you like.

I have often enhanced and digitally tidied up the original scans and I’m happy for you to download and use the images as you please. You can not share them on your own website without linking back to Pictureboxblue.com.

What is not Copyright free

On some of the posts, I have created crafts and upcycles using the vintage images. The photographs of these posts are not copyright free and the copyright belongs to Pictureboxblue.com.

However, I give permission to use 1-2 photos from these posts as long as there is a direct link back to Pictureboxblue.com

How to download the vintage images

If you click on the title of the image you will automatically download the image as a PDF.

The sizes of the images vary as I have provided the largest possible size of the image available. Some of the scanned in images (especially maps) are very large. This enables you to print a high-quality large print for walls.

The size of the image can be adjusted once downloaded using software such as Photoshop, Canva, and Pic Monkey. There are lots of free tools on the internet for adjusting the sizes of PDF files for printing such as PDF2go.

You can print the images at home, use a print shop or an online service. Most online printing services have software where you can adjust the size of your images for printing.
