The Beautiful Antique Zodiac Star Charts of John Bevis

There is already a collection of Sidney Hall vintage zodiac signs on Pictureboxblue. But when I came across John Bevis’s beautiful zodiac star charts, I knew I had to share them, too.

John Bevis’s star charts predate the Sidney Hall zodiac signs by over 30 years. The Zodiac Star Charts are from his book  Uranographia Britannica.

Uranographia is a Latin word that translates as a “description of the heavens.

John Bevis was a qualified doctor as well as an amateur astronomer. He is famous for discovering the Crab Nebula in 1731. The Crab Nebula is an interstellar cloud of dust and ionized gases—the constellation of Taurus.

All these Zodiac Star Charts are in the Public Domain. This means that you can download them and use them as you wish.

To download the zodiac chart that you want, just click on the title above that chart.

A higher-resolution version of the picture will open as a new window on your device. The zodiac image can be printed straight from your device. Or it can be saved to print at a later date.

If printing these pictures to frame as wall decoration, I recommend sending the image file to a professional printer for a high-quality print.

You could make fun personalized gifts by printing these beautiful images on objects like pillows and mugs. Many online photo printing services offer this facility. Or use them to make some DIY zodiac Christmas ornaments.

In the past, I have printed maps on pillows to give as a personalized gift. These vintage zodiac charts would also look great on pillows.
